Dazzling Daffodil shawl

Dazzling daffodils are in the spotlight in this lively, lace Daffodil shawl. Hand-knit in a lovely Merino wool and silk blend, with a touch of Stellina sparkle adding to the warm yellow, this lace shawl replicates bright and cheery daffodils, glittering with morning dew. A perfect way to keep this favorite flower around, all year long.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this pattern was to convert into a shawl. The moment I saw it, I knew it would make a gorgeous shawl and the warm yellow yarn that I’d purchased when I was making the yellow Friendship Roses shawl was just perfect for it. The intricate pattern looked intimidating and I kept putting off the project because I thought it would be quite a feat to make, but it turned out to be one of the easiest shawls to knit. My only worry was that I would run out of yarn, or that it would be so big it would look like someone wearing a blanket. I worried for nothing though, it turned out gorgeous. I love it so much, I plan on making one for myself in a lighter, lemon-yellow color that I can wear.
