In the Store: Night Skies Over the Desert cowl

Night Skies Over the Desert cowl.

Night Skies Over the Desert cowl.

This Night Skies Over the Desert cowl mimics the blue found in the desert skies at night. The deep royals and navy blue is only broken up by a smattering of starlight, seen through the lace fan tail stitches. Knit with a gorgeous Alpaca and silk blend, you can add this cowl to a favorite blouse, or a simple dress for an elegant touch of warmth and color.

This cowl was knit using the last two charts of Romi Hill’s High Desert shawl. I thought the fan-tail edge would make a beautiful cowl and I wasn’t wrong. I love how this turned out. I started this project back in October, and finally got around to finishing it. I’m glad I did. I think it turned out stunning. If the alpaca yarn didn’t bother my allergies so much, I’d keep this one for myself.
