Notes on Project

Absolutely loved making this project despite the long rows at the end. I modified the plain stockinette stitch at the pattern’s original base with the first chart in Nim Teasdale’s Don’t Panic shawl, then continued the spines to blend into the 1001 Nights pattern. Very happy with the result. This yarns is a bit heavier than the VFA yarn I usually buy and I don’t like it as well, but it hasn’t made the shawl any less beautiful. I’m just not a big fan of heavy twist yarn. I wasn’t sure I’d be keeping it as it seemed like it was going to be much too big for me to wear, but after blocking, it was the perfect size. Needless to say, I’m going to need a bigger shawl drawer.
