Undersea Garden shawl

Undersea Garden shawl.

Beautiful violet blues and turquoise gradients create this Undersea Garden shawl, reminiscent of coral reefs and swaying sea grasses. The sparkling turquoise beads glisten as they adorn the coral-like spiring edgework. Hand knit in wonderfully soft merino lace-weight yarn, this shawl is perfect weight for spring and summer wear. Pair it with a sundress, or wear it with your favorite jeans, either way you’ll love wearing this undersea beauty.

Notes on project:

This pattern was a challenging knit. I’m not a big fan of double nupps but they do make this pattern beautiful. Added to that the yarn being a little on the splitty side, and it was a constant watch to make sure the stitches knit correctly. I do love how it turned out and of course I’m a big fan of Gobsmacked Yarn. The shawl is gorgeous and the yarn is beautiful. Just not sure I’d want to knit it again. It’s like one of those harrowingly beautiful trips up a narrow coastal highway. Gorgeous to look at, but you’re awfully glad when you reach your destination.
