Frost permeates the air as this Ice Maiden shawl longingly awaits Mother Nature’s magic; its icy green to purple gradient lending a hint to the colors of Spring. Wrapped in the warmth of Merino and nylon, this shawl will chase away any remnants of winter. The perfect accessory for those cool evening s or chilly morns not yet warmed by the summer sun.

Notes on Project

This was a lovely pattern to knit. On the smaller side, which I love, so didn’t take forever to finish. I’ll definitely be makin it again when I have a small gradient to use. I ended up adding a bit more purple to the edging. As pretty as Wollelfe’s gradients are, the purple part was just a little too dull and gray to my eye. I get that they were trying for a very pale color, but mixed with the creamy color of the natural yarn, it turned more a gray than pale purple. I like it much better now.

Color: Mint green to purple gradient.
Size: One size (S – XL), Measures 48″ wide by 24″ long.
Material: 80% Merino, 20% nylon.
Gently hand wash – Lay flat or dry clean.

This shawl is for sale at my Needles ‘n Purls store
