Baltic blue Haruni shawl

This project has been done twice. The first one was purchased by a customer who wore it into work and it was promptly stolen by her boss for his wife’s birthday present. (Well stolen not quite be the right word.) Anyway, a deal was made and the customer got back to me to ask me to make another. Panic time!

Whoops! These are one-of-a-kind items. I mentioned to her that I wasn’t sure I could even find the same yarn, let alone have it be the same dye lot. Luckily I remembered which yarn it was and found more, even if slightly darker in color. The customer loved it.

This Haruni pattern by Emily Ross is a favorite of mine and probably the second most requested shawl to make. I chose Madelintosh Tosh Lace yarn in Baltic because it reminded me of my trip to the Mediterranean. I was very happy with the end result, but for me, this project was definitely deja vu.
