Morning glory shawl

Morning glory vines scattered with beaded dewdrops drape this lovely hand-knit lace shawl. Knit in a gorgeous multi-green and navy blue, hand-painted, Merino wool yarn, this half-moon shaped shawl is sure to please the nature lover.

This was my second semi-circular shawl pattern and I made several edits to the original pattern to get the look I wanted. I carried the vines all the way up the back so there was no abrupt change to all stockinette. I also corrected a slight humping that I find happens on this shape of shall. I also changed out the edging to resemble Morning Glory flowers. I love the colors and the beads add an elegant touch.  If I decide to do this pattern again, I may attempt to try the pattern in a triangular shaped shawl.

This beautiful lace shawl is now in the hands of my lace-knit teacher, Grace and looks gorgeous on her.
