Reminiscent of the colors of the ocean, this hand-knit, Deep Waters cowl is simply stunning. Its colors blend from an aquamarine to cobalt blue, to a deep-water purple. Knit in a lovely Blue-faced Leicester wool and silk yarn blend, the fluid drape of this yarn creates a watery cloak of softness around your neckline.
Finished the Deep Waters cowl yesterday but it didn’t finish blocking in time to take photos. This type of color-shift requires full sunlight to be able to see the distinct colors, so I waited until today to photograph it. I’m super happy with how this cowl turned out. I love the colors and the yarn is so luscious that it isn’t at all itchy to wear. I also like that it goes from dark at the top, to light at the bottom. A reversal of color from the Deep Waters shawl. The pattern is Diana Rozenshteyn’s Once upon a Leaf wrap and is finished off with a picot edge bind-off.
