Sea Glass shawl

Sea Glass shawl.

Soft and feminine, this lovely Sea Glass shawl is the perfect accessory to add to your spring-summer wardrobe. Its lacy border accenting the soft, rounded, edges of this semi-circular shawl, and gentle sea-foam green and aqua colors, are reminiscent of the beautiful sea glass found along the ocean shore.

Another first time pattern for me and I love how it came out. I have to admit that I was impatient to finish the border, it seeming to take nearly as long to knit as the body of the shawl, but Dee O’Keefe’s Holbrook shawl pattern was super easy to follow and I would definitely knit this again and might even try to knit up a cowl using the same pattern. The yarn is a beautiful Blue-faced Leicester and silk blend and the colors reminded me of the sea glass I used to collect on the beach as a child which is what inspired the name.
