Lilacs in Bloom drape around your neckline in this ultra-soft, silk and Merino, hand-knit, lace cowl. A perfect way to keep warm on those cooler spring and summer evenings. Add a touch of springtime color to your wardrobe with this lovely, light purple cowl.
This pattern is three-quarters Once Upon A Leaf (Wrap), and one-quarter Haruni, or what I jokingly call a Wrap-aruni. I do love how the two patterns blend in cowl format and know that I’ll be making a lot more of these. I love this lilac color as well. I’m half-tempted to keep it for myself, it’s just so pretty.
I used Juniper Moons Findley yarn and it knit up very well. The only disadvantage to this yarn is that it’s so silky, it doesn’t stay put very well in their pre-wound skein. This time around I was smart and rewound it myself, and that seems to help in keeping it from tangling up on itself towards the end of the skein. There’s nothing more irritating than trying to untangle lace-weight yarn.
