Autumn comes to the High Desert in this beautiful copper and cranberry colored High Desert shawl. Hand-knit in a Blue-faced Leicester wool and silk blend yarn, this stunning, semi-circular, Autumn in the High Desert shawl can be worn as a scarf or a shawl. Its silky sheen and intricate design add a touch of elegance, making it the perfect accessory to bring Fall colors to your wardrobe.
Everything about this shawl was a dream to make. Romi Hill’s High Desert pattern was well written and easy to follow, even with a few stitches I didn’t know about. I had no trouble working through the charts. I believe this pattern tops out as my most favorite of all that I’ve made. The BFL and silk yarn is dreamy to knit with, and Helen from Moonlight Yarns outdid herself with the colors. This is her Autumn color line, knit in the darker shades. She has a similar, slightly lighter color than this, that she blends with this one in one of her kits. Both colors are equally gorgeous I love the sheen and elegance the yarn gives to the pattern. Very happy with the end results.
