The Blue Spruce lace gloves are finished and almost dry enough to ship off to Canada, where they’ll be worn by a charming snow angel in Edmonton. I hear it’s cold and snowy up there in the winter. Hopefully the Merino and Cashmere fingering weight yarn will hold up through the winter.
This yarn is really nice to work with and the heavier weight lends more definition to the leafy lace stitches on the top. It’s super soft to the touch with the 10% cashmere, but the merino and nylon should help with the longevity. Gloves go through a tough time in the frozen north. I bought another skein of this yarn in a dark burgundy red. Maybe if I’m super energetic, I’ll make Santa a pair of ’em.
