Dark and seductive, this Nightbird shawl is the perfect accessory for evening or casual wear. Its intricate stitch detail create an elegant, sophisticated appearance, while the dark black Merino wool and silk blend pairs well with any item in your closet, in any season. A basic wardrobe piece that is anything but basic.
Rising from the ashes, this once pink, Pansies in the Garden shawl now dons the color of night. As with all of my shawls that don’t seem to find a home, I have dyed this one in hopes that a color change will be more in line with what suits someone’s fancy. I love how it turned out. I’m only sorry the photographs don’t show the slight sheen the black has. This Jaali pattern seems to really do well in dark colors and black adds a bit of elegance to this shawl. And since I absolutely hate knitting black yarn, this is about the only way I get black items at the store. My eyes just can’t see dark yarns in the evening light.
