Wrapped in softness, this enchanting Arcane Spell scarf astounds viewers with its intricate stitching and dazzling bead-work. Hand-knit in in superfine Merino wool, its beautiful blues, purples and teals weave their magic, creating a bewitching charm that captures the ambiance of elegance.
Finished a second Vestland shawl pattern in this pretty hand-painted wool from Snail Yarns. This time around, I decided to make it in scarf size. The pattern was much easier to knit and I had no trouble at all with the stitches. In fact, this pattern is fast becoming one of my favorites now. I did the full beading this time too and I like how the #6 beads work with the doubled, fine-merino yarn. I also like it in the thicker, doubled extra-fine Merino yarn. It has more definition in the stitches and seems to give the drape more substance than the Merino and silk I used the last time. The twisted stitches really do make the scarf, so I’d definitely recommend keeping those instead of going the easy way out and just knitting the stitches. All-in-all, I’m very happy with the results.
