Beautiful blues and greens span this Proud as a Peacock cowl, creating a fan of glory, to be envied by all. The intricate lace stitches combined with glass beads and silky blue-faced Leicester wool lend a sophisticated look to this stunning cowl. Pair it with an evening dress or a casual pair of jeans, whichever the choice, you’ll receive so many compliments, you’ll be beaming with pride.
I love, love, love my new cowl. It’s the perfect accessory piece for me and I’m so glad that I decided to modify the Renaissance fan shawl pattern into a cowl. The pattern is perfect for a knit in-the-round cowl, and grows at just the right proportions. I didn’t really have to alter a thing. Just knit the repeat pattern and add a garter edge in the beginning. Piece of cake to knit… even the beaded areas. I will definitely be doing this one again in other colors.
