As enchanting as Claude Monet’s artwork, this Water Lilies cowl depicts the wavy ripples of a garden pond with delightful water lilies dancing on its surface. Hand-knit in soft merino wool, this blues, lavenders and watery teal green play off one another, the way light reflectively plays off of water.
This cowl is a mainly done in Hayley Tsang Sather’s Meandering pattern with a water lily flower stitch I created on the fly. I love how the piece feels so impressionistic. The way the colors change as the light changes, the ripply flow of the pattern, the blending of colors. I’m very happy with how this cowl turned out.
