Wrapped in the warmth of Merino and cashmere, this lovely Green Gables shawl will comfort your soul. Just like wearing a hug from your closest friend. Its dark, pine-green color and leafy lace stitches work together to create a serene, forest-like sanctuary; a place to commune with nature and restore internal strength.
Notes on project:
I love knitting this Green Gables pattern. The stitches are just complicated enough to keep my attention but not so much so that I’m constantly looking to the pattern to see what I should be doing. It has a natural, intuitive rhythm that makes it an easy knit. And it looks fantastic when it’s done. I chose Knit Picks Capretta in fingering weight Hunter yarn because it has such a lovely feel. The green is beautiful and works well with the pattern, with terrific stitch definition for a cashmere blend.
