From the legends of the Ojibwe people, this beautiful Butterfly Dreamcatcher shawl, is representative of the dreamcatcher tradition. Created with love, to watch over a friend and remove any bad feelings, allowing only the good to enter their life. This shawl is like a warm and nurturing hug, there when you need it most, when the struggle seems too much, and you just need something positive to focus on.
Notes on Project
This was my first Gobstopper yarn project and I just love her gradients. The blend so well with little nuances of color hand-painted throughout. The yarn knit up well without splitting and although I love knitting with silk, this Blue-faced Leicester wool is wonderfully soft with a subtle sheen. This was my second time knitting the Butterfly Dreamcatcher shawl it was less confusing but still a complicated knit. I would recommend it for the experienced knitter. I was a little worries how the gradient would fair with the short-row design on the second half, but as you can see, it looks fabulous.
