Inspired by the Tahitian Lion Queen variety of hibiscus flower, this shawl is knit in 100% mulberry silk. The yarn is a gradient that spans from blue-violet to magenta to orange to yellow and captures the essence of this flower perfectly. Light and airy, this shawl screams Springtime is Here!
Notes on project:
I absolutely love how this shawl turned out. The colors are exquisite. The silk is soft and slinky without being too shiny. The beads are subtle and enhance the shawl perfectly. I couldn’t have picked a better pattern for this yarn.
Anne-Lise Maigaard’s Twinity shawl is a complicated but interesting knit. This is my third time knitting this pattern and it’s easy now, but as I recall the first time around took some concentration. This and her Scottish Thistles are probably my most favorite patterns. There’s always such a sense of accomplishment when you’re done and they look gorgeous.
