This Celtic Ways shawl worked its magic, weaving an abundance of yarn remnants into a beautiful Gobsmacked yarn creatition. The contrast of undyed Blue-faced Leicester against the colorplay of Gobsmacked Yarns variegated gradients made this shawl a vision for the eyes. It’s Celtic knot pattern, and V-shaped stripes only add to the drama. A lovely gift to a person who provided such creative expressions of color to everyone, in her wonderful yarn.
Notes on project:
I loved doing this project. It was an experiment to see if I could keep a gradient using all of my left over bits of Gobsmacked yarn from various knits over the years, and I do believe it worked beautifully. So much so, that I sent the shawl back to its original creator, the talented Marit of Gobsmacked Yarns.
