Hand-knit in Beautiful seacell and silk yarn, this opulent Chasing Rainbows shawl in its lavender to peach to apricot gradient, is sure to please the eye and the wearer. Light and airy, with the perfect drape, and feels wonderful while wearing. The beadwork adds just the right touch of bling.
There are slight flaws in the yarn dyeing, where the color broke and tiny magenta freckles happened (see last photo). Hardly noticeable but price is discounted for that reason.
Color: Lavender to apricot.
Size: One size (S – XL), Measures 70″ wide by 24″ long.

Notes on project:
This seacell and silk base is dreamy to work with. So silky soft to the touch, but does tend to bloom slightly in my seaside climate. I enjoyed knitting this pattern, but discovered that I’d misread the amount of yarn on the label, and had way too much to get to the last color, so I adapted the pattern to use up more yarn. Really love the modifications, but I felt a bit sorry for the designer. I hope she doesn’t mind too much that I had to go rogue. There were slight flaws in the yarn dyeing, where the color broke and tiny magenta freckles happened, so I’ve priced it at a discount at the store.
*Special thanks to Inbar Rofman (Le Paon Bleu Shawl) for creating such a wonderful pattern and Natalie Stewart Yarns for creating such beautiful yarn.
